High School Mission Trip
Each year we sponsor what can be a life-changing experience for high school students who work on disaster recovery efforts around the country. The focus of these trips is to grow the mission heart in each student. The experience of hands on work and personal relationships enables students to experience the joy of helping and connecting with others. Our adult volunteers work closely with the youth in providing a rewarding experience in following God’s commandment to make this world more like the kingdom of God.
Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA)
Our congregation supports PDA through our financial mission efforts. PDA focuses on the long-term recovery of disaster impacted communities.It provides training and disaster preparedness for presbyteries and synods;works collaboratively with church partners and members of the ACT Alliance (Action by Churches Together) internationally, and nationally with other faith based responders; and connects partners locally and internationally with key organizations active in the response such as the United Nations, NVOAD (National Voluntary Agencies Active in Disaster), World Food Program, Red Cross, FEMA and others.
